Vietnam is a Southeast Asian country known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities. Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Củ Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.

Vietnam is located on the eastern Indochinese Peninsula. Vietnam’s land is mostly hilly and densely forested, with level land covering no more than 20%. Mountains account for 40% of the country’s land area, and tropical forests cover around 42%.The Red River Delta in the north, a flat, roughly triangular region covering 15,000 Sq km is smaller but more intensely developed and more densely populated than the Mekong River Delta in the south.

Tourism is an important element of economic activity in the nation. Most visited destinations in Vietnam is the largest city, Ho Chi Minh City, with over 5.8 million international arrivals, followed by Hanoi with 4.6 million and Hạ Long, including Hạ Long Bay with 4.4 million arrivals. All three are ranked in the top 100 most visited cities in the world.

Vietnam is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In 2018,  Hội An as one of the world’s top 15 best destinations to visit.

Vietnam has voluptuous coastline populated by a young. Sociable vibe.If the places are loud, one can travel a few kilometers farther for scenic beauty.
