Overview
Situated at Darjeeling district of West Bengal, this area is a combination of Eastern Himalayan resident, breeder and migratory birds ground. Latpanchar is famous home for the Rufous-necked Hornbill, a near threatened species, apart from that Sapphire Flycatcher, Red-headed trogon, Hodgson’s Frogmouth, Long-tailed Broadbill, Common Green Magpie, Grey-chinned Minivet, Asian Emerald Cuckoo, Blue-naped Pitta, Green Cochoa, Long-billed Thrush, Brown Wood Owl, Collared Scops Owl like birds can be found in that region on season. Inclusion of the trip is Gajoldoba, which is a famous ground for migratory ducks, raptors & waders. Common Goldeneye, Smew, Falcated Duck, Greater Scaup, Horned Grebe, Common Shelduck, Greylag Goose, Bar-headed Goose, Common Pochard, Red-crested Pochard, Eurasian Wigeon, Ferruginous Pochard, Steppe Eagle, Merlin, Cinereous Vulture, White-tailed Eagle, Dunlin like birds can be found in Gajoldoba. December to February is the best time for a combined trip.

Important Notes
Have to be patient on field and focused on bird movement. The area always covered with full of birding activity around. One has to be alert
all time for photograph the species. As Gajoldoba birds can be reach by boat only, two persons are allowed in one boat. One must have to be co-operative with his boat partner and boatman.
