Situated at Kalimpong district of West Bengal, this area is a bio-diversity hotspot. This jungle is a pristine forest with rich flora and
fauna, including huge numbers of birds. The habitat suits for all Himalayan residents with some altitudinal migrants. Neora Valley is home of many rare / uncommon birds like Satyr Tragopan, Hill Partridge, Rufous-throated Partridge, Chestnut-breasted Partridge, Long-billed Wren Babbler, Rufous-throated Wren Babbler, Scaly-breasted Wren Babbler, Spotted Elachura, Himalayan Cutia, Yellow-throated Fulvetta, Golden Babbler, Golden Bush Robin, Red-headed Bullfinch, Brown Bullfinch, Alpine Thrush, Himalayan Thrush, Long-tailed Thrush, Brown Wood Owl and many. November to April is the best time for birding to this hotspot.
