DAWAIPANI : A small remote village situated in the lap of Tiger Hill Sanctuary and just opposite to the Darjeeling hill. Dawaipani is the sweetest place among all offbeat destinations in Kurseong division. Situated At 6500 ft it is as cold as Darjeeling. Temperature is ranged between 0 – 18 degree throughout the year. The village has very good and prominent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga range. Covered by large evergreen and deciduous forest it is a Biodiversity reached area. The name Dawaipani is derived from a mineral spring situated at the foothill. The place has mixed population of Bhutia and Gorkha people and they are very helpful and friendly.
